Scandium potassium sulphate, K3Sc(SO4)3
Scandium potassium sulphate, Sc2(SO4)3.3K2SO4 or K3Sc(SO4)3, is obtained by adding an excess of potassium sulphate to a solution of scandium sulphate. It is moderately soluble in water and dilute potassium sulphate solution, but practically insoluble in a saturated solution of potassium sulphate. In this respect scandium resembles the metals of the cerite earths.
