Scandium iodate, Sc(IO3)3
Scandium iodate, Sc(IO3)3.18H2O, from scandium chloride and potassium iodate, is a white, crystalline powder almost insoluble in water, but soluble in nitric acid. When dried at 250° it becomes anhydrous; at intermediate temperatures, hydrates with 15H2O, 13H2O, and 10H2O may be obtained (Crookes).
